Handling
Grammage is not the only determinant of paper feel. Caliper, stiffness, moisture and fiber characteristics also influence feeding and handling.
Printer performance
Before changing GSM, test the paper in the target printer or copier fleet. Curl, dust, moisture and dimensional stability can matter as much as grammage.
